APAY Delegation Visited China

At the invitation of National Council of YMCAs of China, a delegation of 6 board members of Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs(hereafter APAY)visited China during October 18-24.

The purpose of APAY delegation’s visit was to better understand religious policy of China and the development of China YMCA as well as to explore the opportunities for cooperation among YMCA in China and other YMCAs in the region of Asia Pacific.

During their stay in China, APAY delegation visited State Administration for Religious Affairs and had very good communication with deputy director Mr. Jiang Jianyong. They also had a profound discussion on the relations among China YMCA and APAY and World YMCA with leaders of National Council of YMCAs of China when visiting its office in Shanghai.

In addition, APAY delegation was exposed to social service work of local YMCAs through visiting community service centers of Beijing YMCA and Shanghai YMCA.
